Happens a lot to particular cars. The H7 lamp life is inversely proportional to voltage to a much higher degree than other lamps seem to be, (i.e. 13.7 volts equals very long life, 14.2 volts equals flashbulb life). Although my car is plagued by this problem it luckily happens to driver's side lamp almost exclusively - easier to change.

I called Osram/Sylvania to ask about a faulty batch of lamps after my third failure. I learned from them that they honor Dealer waranty claims for short life lamps. But even better than that, they sent me 6 new lamps free of charge! Four of standard life variety and 2 of long life model. Almost $100 of replacement lamps for the price of a phone call, and it may have been a toll free number to boot!
