Got my clock last month. Yes, it is HEAVY. The tin in which it was mailed was very dented, but the clock is intact.
To set the time, press a nail or something similar into the hole in the back of the clock housing until the round timepiece pops out of the front. Then you can use the crown (like on a watch) to set the time. Then just pop the timepiece back in the heavy clock base. Make sure you pay attention to put the clock in straight.. I had to take mine back out and re-align it.
I especially liked the little letter Saab sent with it that said something about how the traditional gift for the first anniversary is paper, but that Saab sent a clock for our first anniversary of ownership because Saab vehicles are "timeless".
