If I owned a Sedan, I would definitely go with the receiver and rear carrier. Eventually you will see minor chafing damage to the roof paint with a roof rack, in spite of keeping the paint clean and waxed. And there is always the potential for dropping the bike onto the roof - ouch! Check around though...the Saab receiver seems waaay overpriced to me.
Thule makes a cool multi-rack to fit the 1 1/4 inch Saab receiver. You can add bike or ski racks to the basic swing-out mount. Racks for this size are _much_ less common than for the 2 inch receiver. If you decide to go with an aftermarket receiver, like U-Haul or Reese or Drawtite, get a 2 inch (Class 2, 3500 lb rating) and you will have a greater choice of racks and accessories. Just don't EVER exceed the tow rating of the car, no matter what the receiver says on it!

This setup will cost quite a bit more than a simple roof rack, but it will be more versatile and it will preserve the paint on your car.
Here is a table showing the different classes of hitches. I believe your car is rated to tow 3000 pounds.
