I'm the one that has the 99 Viggen chip in my 99 9-5 Wagon.
I have been running this ECU for over 2 years now with out
any issues. I had asked my service manager what could be done
to give the car a bit more HP and he called the engineers down
at SAAB USA. They were the ones who said I could try the Viggen
ECU. I got lucky in that my dealer swapped the Viggen ECU for
my old one when the recall was done for the 99 ECUs. I'm not
sure how different the 99 Viggen ECU is from the 2000 Aero ECU,
but my guess is they are basicly the same and you should have
no problems. One note: I have never had the increase in boost
verified on the Tech II device. However my wife has a 2000 Aero
sedan and I have driven the cars back to back and by the seat
of my pants I'd say I have about 85% to 90% of the performance
of her AERO.
