I also have a non-existent car: 99 9-5 SE (has the badges, plus beige
leather, heated front and rear seats, sunroof, upgraded stereo),
5 speed in Cinnabar Red Metallic.
I had the dealer throw in wood shift knob, and wood/leather
steering wheel - it really completes the car, IMHO, park it
next to, say, a Jag XK and see what I mean.
Re: the purchase - look at the service records. While there are
a still a lot of miles left on the warranty, there may not be much
_time_. Only 36 months I think since it was put into service.
In addition to the ECM, most of us early adopters have replaced
SIDs (Saab Information Display), the ACC (auto climate control
display), and several rounds of front halogen headlamps. If they
weren't done, get them to do it, or negotiate something specific
for those known trouble areas.
Re: the speakers, look for one in the middle of the dash. Not sure
if presence of grills on the back shelf really tell you if speakers
are there - they may be placeholders. Look in the trunk.
If you have 9 speakers they are: 3 in the dash, 2 in the front doors,
2 in the rear doors, 2 in the trunk.
Sounds like a great deal, though.
