I have to agree with Ron H on all this. I've been a part to a lot of the conversations on other SAAB groups, and the folks who have used many detectors all favor the V1...it is built like our cars, very well engineered....I've used a huge assortment of detectors...the original passport was, in its day, comperable to the v1's now....had an original whistler, but the old escort really kicked its butt....I made the mistake of buying a new passport, when they first had laser, but it was mass market junk, same thing cobra was selling.

I've been using a V1 since '97 or so, and cannot imagine driving with anything else.
