2002 9-5 Aero Sulfur Smell

I am new to the Saab family, and frankly wish I still had my 9 year Acura. My 9-5 Aero of 4 months (3,100 miles) emits a foul "rotten-egg" smell that often permeates the cabin when the car is stopped at a light, and has drawn comments from other users of the underground parking lot at my home. VOB Saab, Rockville, MD., informs me that this is a characteristic of this car and is "normal." Has anyone else experienced this problem / any ideas?
I can accept the fact that you have to be within 2 feet of the car for any reaction from the electronic key (an admitted design flaw, as stated by the dealer), but the smell is totally unacceptable.
I thought that this was the car of my dreams, but I have come to hate it.
