Is this the same thing as the GM Affiliate/Employee Discount? That's the one I'll be using (my younger brother is an engineer with GM) and the discount is 10% off the MSRP for Saabs, it would be 17% if I were willing to buy a GM vehicle.
Anyway I have seen paperwork from dealerships and the discount does bring the price of the car to below invoice (or at least it says so on the forms I was shown). While this may mean little or no wiggle room beyond the GM discount, it's a great deal. Making an Aero availbe for the price of a base 9-5 with premium package. Hopefully lease terms similar to those advertised for a base 9-5 with premium package will be availabe for an Aero to a GM buyer.
I am unsure if dealers have any wiggle room under the program, however don't let them fool you into thinking they're making no money on the deal. I am sure GM makes it worth their while to sell the Saabs at a 10% discount off MSRP.
