But there is no way to increase the power in a 9-5 by changing either the exhaust or a K&N-filter.
As your car is a T-7 car, the only way to increase power is to upgrade the ECU. In Europe at least, Saab offer an ECU upgrade for the 2,0 LPT that brings it to 192 hp. It does not require upgraded exhaust or air filter.
As for your friends claimed 15 hp gain on his Accord...I'd be very sceptical. It may sound like 15 hp, but there is simply no way that a muffler will give 15 hp on a NA car. On a 9000 Aero, yes... But that still requires changing to 3" all the way from the turbo. A mere muffler may give 3-4 hp on a high-output turbo car.
So try to find the Saab ECU upgrade. That will not void your warranty either.
