Hey Guys,
I have a 2000 9-5 2.3LPT 5-speed sedan with about 4500 miles on it. Lately I've noticed that the car is getting noticeably more sluggish when it warms up. The car runs very slow up to the redline, and it feels like the "thrust" of the turbo is very weak in comparison to when it was new. I realize that cold air is beneficial for performance, and that as the engine warms up the intake air gets warmer, but I'm not sure that that's the issue. I had a Base automatic wagon for a loaner a while back and it felt quick in comparison to my car.
Do you guys think this is just my imagination, or should have my dealer take a look at it? I'm thinking of driving a new 5-speed car to see if there is a noticeable difference. Does this should like the symptoms of any particular problem? Thanks in advance.
-Todd
