as they are damn close to useless. I want to know who actually can see the light from the fog lights with the low beam on.
If you have the HID headlights from later 9-5s, the fog light is even more useless.
The way Saab mounted the fog lights are absolutely prone to damage as mentioned in many prior posts. The fog light housing is plastic and bolted directly to the bottom of the air dam. When the air dam hits something, the light mounting bracket, which is part of the light assembly, breaks off. There are two lower mounting bolts for each fog light, you can break one, but if you break both, you pay $100+ for a new unit if you want to keep the light.
I actually would like to get two plastic trim plate that would fit into the fog light openings and forget about these stupid lights.
