...the aero academy as well - you won't get that with a Vector... If you don't want it you can send it to Texas since I did not get this option buying an 02;) I bought mine in June of 02 and paid $34Kish (cash) for a 5spd aero with the touring package, rear spoiler, deep tint on the windows and silver paint. The rain sensing wipers are excellent and my favorite feature for the extra $1K. I also like the better lights. The backup alert isn't that beneficial to me.
I saw a new silver 9-3SS on the road this morning. I like it, but I think the aero has an overall better presence about it. You will also like the extra room that comes with the 9-5. Reliability has been excellent. My only regret is that I didn't get the 2 piece BBS rims or the sports exhaust when I drove it off the lot.
Go for it. I have a feeling you will see a lot of people look at the 9-3SS and spend a few $$ more for the 9-5.
