I had to replace a front tire with a damaged side wall last Friday.('01 9/5 se w/ 33K mi on the tires.)I elected to put the new tire on the rear ,and move the rear tire up front. My rational was that the new tire has a larger diameter than the tires with 33K miles, and if I put it on the front, the differential would be continually rotating. I don't know if there's a fallacy in my thinking, but that's what I did.
