I had a set of MXV4 Sports on my 1999 9-5 aero. The Michelins were well suited to the nature of the Aero, but not well suited to an environment with bad roads.
The Michelins stiff but compiant ride is difficult to find in other tyres the contstruction and setup of this tyre provided comfort at a wide range of speeds, my tyres were a phenom at speeds in excess of 80 mph. My beef with the tyre was how quickly they wore, and how poorly they responded to Michigan roads. By the way, I am returning a pair of crappy Conti's next week I put on my car to save cash, warning to all, do not but the Continental Xtreme Contacts on the 95 aero!.
My research in leading me to BrigeStone Potenzas or the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S. The Potenza S03 has won many tire awards at home and abroad. Yet cost less then the Michelin's.
In conclussion I did not appreciate the OE Michelin tyres until they wore out. I suggest ether the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S, if you have the cash! Or the Bridgestone Potenza s03. I will respond with my choice and review of my purchase after I have my tires mounted.
