The warranty is still good - in fact I need to talk to them about some blue smoke during start-up, but that's another story...
Regarding base models, the dealer said that other 01 lpt vehicles do get the service package.
My understanding is that there was also an organization called Saab of North America, and that it was universally covered. How can I find out about this service fee? Do Saab of US and Saab of Canada have different policies? Do I need to take the car over the border to have free service?
The irony is that when I first brought the car in to the US dealer (around the time of purchase) they told me that 20,30K, etc services would be covered. It wasn't until later, when it was actually time for them to do something (for free) that they had this revelation.
