I did not compare the Boston Acoustics. As i said, in the end, I gave in to having the top of the tweeter press up agains the grill, and I'm vacant on whether the sound would be better if it didn't. The wire connection is simplicity itself if you buy a pack of assorted crimp fasteners and a crimping plier (the latter is multipurpose for all sorts of electrical wiring and is sold in a plastic box with a load of fasteners) and the only pesky part ius trying to enlarge the hole so the speaker can sit down a bit lower. I did have Boston Acoustics speakers years ago and they were wonderful. The only advantage they'd have is if they needed slightly lower head space.
