Apparently the various E-Z Pass concerns have info that it does not work through the window, and get you a bumper mount, which for security reasons I will not leave on the car (Center City Philadelphia) and for laziness, won't interchange.
Then I saw the same 19999 9-5 on the road with the internal piece, rolled down the window, he confirmed it, called the dealer, and dealer (service dept. head mechanic) explained that the E-Z Pass peopleare all wrong.

Get the internal, works fine. In fac t, when I had unnecessarily picked up the external, while given a free bridge pass (don't ask), it triggered the toll from the car seat with the sun roof closed.
So, these work fine!
