2003 9-5 Aero Purchase Advice Posted by Gordon [Email] |
Dear Saabnet Members,
I have been reading all the very helpful advice and comments here on the board and would like to join the "Saab Family" with the purchase of our first Saab. I do not like shopping for cars but Dirito Saab in Walnut Creek/SF Bay Area has been very straight forward so far over the internet. We are looking for a 9-5 Aero, automatic, metallic paint, with the touring package. Dirito Saab quoted us a cash price $36791.00. That seems like a more than a fair price (actually about $3000 below invoice)... it doesn't seem like they are making much of a profit on the car. We are not looking for the rock bottom price, just a fair deal with nice people.
Question for board members:
1) Does that seem like a fair price?
2) If we purchase the car at one dealership, do other dealerships honor and welcome the future service? (We actually live closer to BB Saab/Burlingame Saab on the SF Peninsula...maybe better to buy from them and establish a relationship with a local dealer)
3) Any recommendations other Bay Area dealers who people have established a good reputation with?
4) Should purchase the GM extended warranty at with the purchase or wait?
Thanks for reading such a long post but I really appreciate the help.
