NEW Michelin Pilot Sport Tyre

A few days ago I hit a brick that was in the road. This damaged the alloy, and blew out the original Michelin Primacy O/S tyre.
As I had protected no-claims on my insurance I decided to make a claim.
I have just taken delivery, and on the front axle I now have a replaced alloy and two new tyres.
The tyres they have fitted are the brand new Michelin Pilot Sport tyres.
They are so new, that I cannot find any mention of them on the web.
I was a little surprised to say the least, so I went down to my local tyre shop, and they had just heard about them. They are supposed to be the latest flag ship max performace product from Michelin.
They look nothing like the old Pilot Sports with their very directional looking tread.
The new versions are supposed to be significantly quieter.
The only thing that I dont like is that they have no rim protector like the S0-2 and S0-3's have.
The engineer said they would last longer than the Bridgestones but he did not know the exact wear rating.
Anyway, if anyone knows anything about these new tyres please let me know.
Thanks
EdD
