So, the car was only driven by an old lady.....right. Where have I heard that before? And it's "perfect". It hasn't missed an oil change - Saab (in the USA) only schedules one in that time period anyway, at 10k miles.
You have not driven it....You were in a rush when you looked at it...You are going to buy it over the phone, then go pick it up....
I am sorry, but I have to say that your used car buying skills seem a little unusual. A used car dealer will tell you anything to sell a car. You can assume, IF the mileage is correct, that the car is fresh. But how can you tell that it isn't a rebuilt wreck? Or a salvage job? Or a test car at the local valet-driver's school?
It is extremely important to inspect a used car thoroughly, and DRIVE IT!!!! Test all the systems, see how the engine sounds, check for alignment problems on the highway. Looks for signs of body distress. See if it's an enjoyable experience. If the power is inadequate for you, it is best to find that out on the test drive, not after signing the papers.
The car may well be a jewel, but don't fall head-over-heels into buying it without checking it out further. If I were in your situation, I would ask the local Saab dealer to put it on his rack and give it a thorough pre-purchase inspection.
Good luck.
