It appears to be a newer tire. Maybe the warts will come out as folks find how they are in middle age. Yes, the new tire review looks great. The differences between this tire and the S-03 are minimal. So perhaps after time this tire will be widely regarded as superior.
Anyways, a wear rating of 280 VS 220 for the S-03. I prefer the lower ratings which I associate with softer compounds. With age and heat a harder compound can just age harden to unacceptable levels. For folks who wear out tires before they can age harden, these might be a problem. But for those who have commutes which are easy on softer tires, they can harden up and resist wear and last quite nicely. The softer tire when mature and hardened up can still deliver good traction and ride.
Go for the F1's and let us know how they are over time.
