Cheers Anders for the excellent info. This BB is such a great source of information for the DIY'er. Hoping to glean just a bit more...
Having the same problem with my '99 2.3lpt SW (head gasket leaking slightly). Wanted to start out by retorqueing the head but was in need of the torque specs and tightening sequence. Thanks to SWEDECAR's post, I'm 1/2 way there! Any help with the proper tightening sequence?
Reading Norm's post, thinking I should replace the head bolts instead of just retorqueing. Any reason why not? In replacing the head bolts, assuming the procedure would be remove/replace/torque 1 at a time in the sought after sequence. Again, any thing wrong with this approach?
Thanks in advance,
Rob
