What is the deal? (2000 9-5 V6 - 5800 miles)
On the first start of the day there is a slight grinding noise from under the hood. It gets worse(louder) when you put the car in reverse and lessens a bit when you turn the ACC off. After driving for 1-2 blocks the noise disappears and the car is fine for the rest of the day. The next day, the noise is back again.
I had the car for service in Feb for this same problem. The dealer was told by SAABTech to replace the timing chain and tensioner. This seemed to fix the problem for a few weeks. The noise is now back - every day.
I called my dealer, and the word back from SAABTech is that SAAB is aware of the problem and they are trying to correct/isolate it and that I should wait a few weeks until SAAB figures out the problem/solution.
Any comments/ideas???
