After driving my new/old '00 Aero for about a week, I have a couple of questions for you guys.
1. Where there $@#!'s the air filter? Following the plumbing from the throttle body to the turbo to the intercooler(?) to where it disappears into the left fender, I don't see anything that looks like an air filter. And the owner's manual doesn't say anting about where it is or how to change it.
2a. What's a good rpm to drive at? The stupid shift light seems to be progammed to come on before any boost develops (to save gas?) but it feels like the engine's lugging if you short shift it.
2b. Can the shift light be de-activated?
3. Does this thing have a timing belt or chain and when is it supposed to be changed?
4. Searching the web, it seems like there are several manuals (parts manual, basic service manual, CD with info on it, etc). What is the recommended manual to own if you want to be able to diagnose and service the car?
5. I see that the suspension can be upgraded to '03 specs to reduce body roll. Does it make that much of a difference? I find that one of the limiting factors in cornering is sliding around on the seat due to the slippery leather and a lack of side bolsters.
Thanks for helping out a newbie!
