Well, looking at the positive side, SAAB will have more influence with the making and maintaining of this vehicle than some may think. SAAB may be used by GM to give other GM branches more stability than what they currently have. I bet GM wants something out of SAAB in this deal. Lets wait and see...
"Chris Cerrina, a member of the Saab Business Team and owner of Parkfield Motors Inc. in Bergenfield, N.J., said dealers were shown the 9-7 recently and were "amazed" at the degree of differentiation from GM models.
"We didn't expect the extent of the changes that were put into the model," he said. The 9-7's truck platform will not be an issue with buyers, Cerrina said.
The vehicle will attract new buyers to the brand in the same way that the 9-3 has, he said."
