Yes, they did.....It was sort of interesting. The tech writer assured me that it could not be done. He told me he had a '99 9-3 and he would dearly love to turn the light off in his own car.

I explained that other 9-5 owners reprted having the light disabled, so he went ahead and wrote it on the work order. He himself hooked up the Tech II and had _all_ my reprogramming done in less than 10 minutes, including the upshift light.

He told me that the Tech II has had a recent software upgrade - it now has the option to disable the light, whereas before (I am not sure when) it did not.

The next time you are at your dealer, press the issue, explaining that it can and has been done. I believe the technician just has to go through the Tech II menu until he finds the right option to select.
