She ran after hitting my car, made it 2-turns around the block, missed a turn and hit a tree on the 3rd turn at the end of the block in a neighbors yard, but was back on the street where she hit the car (my office is at the end of a residential street). She apparently got out and walked into her house which was literally six houses from where she hit my car. She was heading, I kid you not, another 100 feet to a convenience store on the next corner...

Because she left the car and went inside, they could not convict her of drunk driving (could have supposedly had drinks 'after the fact') and her boyfriend moved the car into their driveway before the cops came.

Luckilly for me, there was a good samaritan who had chased her and she panicked, or she may have snuck home unnoticed...

She had previously been suspended for same and the car was titled in her brother's name and (thank God) had insurance through an old boyfriend, I was in fear I was screwed, but the insurance was Progressive and they cut me a check on the spot.

The officer who came wanted to hang her but couldn't. They did get her for three majors: reckless, damage over $1000, fleeing w/damage...I believe she lost her licence but I don't know. Haven't seen either of them since.....
