Hi John,
I couldn't agree with you more - the S2000 is my dream car... and my wife would kill for the beast. It is a stone gas to drive! My problem is that I am 6'3" (240lbs.) and have to shoe-horn myself into the car (no tilting steering wheel). I can only drive the car barefoot! Honda promises a tilt/scope wheel in the 2005 redux - so I am hopeful. As a former Brit car fan (actually its a twelvestep plan upon which I am foundering) - the S2000 is everything a Healey or Sunbeam dreamed of becoming - and the Honda starts in the rain!!
I have also been eyeing the NSX - mid '90's versions with low mileage are creeping into the $30K range...hmmm
As far as the Boxters, I adore them as well, but the used Boxster market remains hopelessly inflated - its cheaper to lease new than buy old; which is what we would do with a Boxster.
Cheers,
eric
