The lunchs were great at our Academy. Plenty of food and good food at that. Day 2 was grilled chicken with pasta and white or red sauce with salad. We paid the extra amount to have my wife attend class and she got a lot out of the course even by not driving. I agree that the dinner with the Saab execs was top notch. Sipping wine at the entrance to Chateau Elan with the Saab execs was very classy and fun. And dinner was superb.
As far as the Academy as a driving course, I learned a lot by driving the Aero to it's limits of braking, acceleration and steering capability. I enjoy driving our Aero more because of this class. The instuctors were very good. I would not call this an advanced race type course though. I learned about wheel loading and how that affects acceleration and many other things as mundane as how to adjust my rear view mirrors that has helped me enormously. If you are looking for a race course I would look elsewhere but if you want to take an Aero to the limit take this class. We loved it!
