CPO: Certified Pre-Owned. Unlike other car mfgs. who sell 'certified' used vehicles, whose certification means nothing more than a 10000-point inspection and a fancy window sticker - A Saab CPO vehicle has the original Saab factory warantee extended another 2yr/50miles on top of what's already left of the vehicle. If you ever have a problem with the vehicle just take it into any dealership in the country and you'll be covered. The warantee is not an aftermarker warantee, where you may end up haggling over whether or not replacement parts will be Saab, OEM, or aftermarket.

My sister was once about to buy a 'certified' accord. When her mechanic inspected it he was literally furious at the dealership for wasting her time and telling her the lemon was a good car. The tranny was leaking fluid, there was a lot of mud underneath (possible flood damage?), the tires were almost bald, the rotors were warped, and the engine was also weeping oil. It was a return lease vehicle which had been really beat on and Honda (Enfield, CT Honda) put a certified sticker on it and tried to sell it as such.

'Certified' means NOTHING, unless the words are backed up by full warantees.

Good Luck,

Kevin

p.s. The pics of the '04 TL look really nice. I had only seen the '03 which looked like an Accord to me, but that '04 definitely has some character. This is a great thing - competition will force Saab to innovate more.
