1) if the oil consumption is back down to zero there's no need for concern. you can stick with what you're using. but bear in mind that most castrol syntec is NOT real synthetic, but rather, "highly hydrocracked" conventional oil (a.k.a. group III synthetic).
nothing really wrong with group III synthetic, but it costs less to manufacture, and is supposed to be around $3/quart retail. shell rotella t syn 5w-40 is a good "group III" synthetic which is priced correctly.
if you want a real, group IV/group V synthetic, the newer stock of castrol syntec 0w-30 (check for 'made in germany' on the back label) is a real synthetic. other good synthetics are mobil 1 0w-40 and amsoil ASL/ATM/TSO.
2) ATF service interval is probably every 60K (double check in the manual)
3) flush the anti-freeze every 2 years
4) flush the brake fluid every 2 years
