My '99 V6 automatic wagon with about 95k miles at the time had leak on the left side at or just behind the axle. Turned out to be ATF overflowing from the transmission vent tube way up on top, then following the unibody surfaces down to the subframe channel and then finally dripping off. It looked and smelled pretty much like oil by then. The tranny had been overfilled by the dealer, and with a few long road trips during really hot weather, this is what had happened. No damage done. Dealer drained off a pint and apologized. This doesn't sound likely cause in your case. Point is, the paper-on-the-floor approach may not lead you to the source.
Suggest to dealer that they add a UV light-sensitive dye to the oil and use a black light to find the source. This is a common practice for diagnosing leaks that they should be aware of. I haven't heard of any bad side-effects to this practice. Good luck!
