Stick to known chips makers.
Here in Europe the trend for cheap ECUs started about 3 years ago... many of them are original ECUs with no change at all removed from crashed cars but simply repackaged, other have about as bad ECU mapping as you can get and will destroy your engine.
Here these sell around $100 to $200 depending on the car.
Another BS modification is so called on the spot remapping, I know of a few people that did that to their cars... (my SAAB dealer did that to his own car) what these people do is they try to replace the ECU mapping with some generic modification. First these people have no idea how the Trionic works, they're used to BOSCH CRAPOJECTION systems... so the results are as expected bad for the engine and they more often then not remove the altitude compensation capability of the ECU. They're also unable to access to memory chips like they should, removing the battery removes their crap RICEWARE.
The best low cost mod. you can do to your SAAB Turbo is to get a Forge or Hyperboost valve and kick out the BOSCH CRAPOVALVIC thing.
Regards,
Coolknight
