I would have to disagree that a V6 is as good as four cyliner turbo. The competency of Swedish cars is delivering a powerful four cylinder with good mileage. After all the sports call Lotus Espri is a four cylinder. The average driver seems to rank a car by the number of cylinders-which is a common misconception. I own a four cylinder aero 9-5 and love its performance. I had a v6 9-5 loaner and found it loud, however, pretty powerful too. My take is that saab has made four cylinder turbo for decades and have alway endured great reviews by edmunds, consumer reports, etc. A saab is a little different than a BMW (noise/little less mainstream-good thing), but usually one becomes hooked on a Saab.
