I had similar problems with my SID and got it replaced under warranty. If you look at past posts on this issue you will see that the driver will subsequently get 'Time For Service' SID messages each time the car is started. Sure enough it happened to me. After 4,000 km I still can't clear it despite all the best advice from the posts. You should make your dealer aware of this and get him to clear it.
