Did you put any compound or anti sieze between the back of the outboard pad and the slider?
The old rotor may be decent, but is it not flat. Give the pads time to wear into the old rotor. My EBC front pads have never made any noise, but I did install when the vehicle had 160 miles on it, so the rotors were new and flat. I now have 38K and the rotor shows some ripples from the metal bits in the compound, which is no surprise and does not in anyway cause a problem.
Someone had a similar complaint before, but in that case the wire springs were not installed properly.
