Since you ask if one oil makes more sense for spring/summer, I'd say Mobil 1 15W-50 if you're gonna dump it before winter anyway. For cold months I'd go with the new Mobil 1 5W-40. Or, if your change intervals take you thru the entire climate range (like ours do), I'd use the 5W-40 year-round. M1 0W-40 would be the minimum recommendation for year-round use. All three of these oils meet Saab's "preferred" spec of ACEA A3.
Saab's own 0W-30 is a good oil too, but it only meets ACEA A5 (great for regular engines, but not "the best" for turbos). However, it does have a far superior additive package when compared to other xW-30 synthetics. And as Ian said, don't assume you'll get syn blend from the dealer if you say nothing. For years my dealer used bulk 5W-30 as their only fill.
