I am due a coolant flush soon and was going to replace my thermostat too. I noticed eeuroparts has this to say about the stock 89 degree thermostat: "Saab recommends this 89 degree thermostat for all 94-98 900 4cyl models, 94-98 9000 4cyl models, all 9-3 and 4cyl 9-5 models. However you can substitute the 82 degree thermostat "
Is cooler (82F) better engine life but at a sacrifice of fuel economy? What is the advantage to a cooler thermostat?
