There is a DIY fix for the SID that I did that solves the pixel outage problem. Do a search and you'll find it. I involves placing a strip of foam in the SID to increase pressure on the ribbon cable to the display.
Rumor has it that there will be a very cheap, DIY kit available this summer to fix the ACC code 8 problem. That's at least what I am waiting for. My toes are cold until then.
To increase headlight life, remove fuse #35 and don't run the DRLs all the time. Also, replace bulbs in pairs only. And don't handle the bulb with your fingers directly... use a cloth. The oil in your handprint will blow the bulb up.
