I need technical information on the ECU and the computer for a 99 9-5 2.3lpt.
The problem is that my car's not kicking back codes when it stalls.
I don't want to be told that I need a new ECU or that it needs reprogramming or anything else unless I'm given a more accurate description of the problem. I had a new ECU put in last March, and I've been error free for a year, but now the problem is back.
I'd like to have some working knowledge about the ECU (is it a flash chip, what it controls, what it interacts with, how it is reprogrammed) and the computer that sends the codes. Any info on the tech2 would also be helpful.
I'm a computer engineer and not a mechanic, but I'm completely able to handle techinical info. I'd *really* be thankful to anyone who would help, and would gladly share all info/resources with anyone in the future.
Also, where is the best place to buy cd-rom/manuals for the 99 9-5?
