Thanks! I went to Dirito Bros. in Walnut Creek. The service writer was very knowledgeable and friendly. The mechanic was also great. They replaced the DI cassette which was,apparently, the cause of my intermittent "check engine" light. Also replaced muffler which was rusted, and did a PCV mod due to the intermittent blue smoke I had at start-up. All on warranty. Also washed the car, and had the mechanic take a test drive with me to try to identify the source of the intermittent screeching that my clutch is doing. He thinks it is the springs in the clutch, but warned me that if they get it apart and find a worn clutch, I will have to pay for the entire repair. Seems like a big gamble. Anyone have any other ideas?
