Theft alarm light holder on dash-question

I popped off the plastic piece on top of the dash, but since it is so close to the windshield, I can't tell if I can get down into the dash from there. To me, this would be a good place to put my GPS external antenna and then run the wire inside the dash to my GPS unit(I don't keep it on the dash). If I pull the Radio and the SID, do you know if I can reach back there?-Thanks for the help.
