It does seem strange that they took it for another test drive, but what could they have done other than driving it without oil that would blow up your Turbo? Did they do an engine flush? It's the seal(?) that goes allowing oil to bypass either into the intake or exhaust causing the smoke. A 2002 9-3se at a buddy's shop with this problem still boosted, but smoked like a m*ther. I know it's a hard one to $wallow, but unless they are a super shady place and replaced your turbo with a bad one they had lying around, maybe it was just bad timing that this thing gave up the ghost while in thier possesion.
