The intercooler does not see much heat to cool before there is boost.

debi: The injectors need to be clean (Techron Concenrate) and the plugs need to be in decent shape. Only way to know about the plugs is to remove them and inspect and check gaps. Regap or replace.

What trany? Sport mode on an auto for a 1st gear start prehaps.

Some octane boosters fake out the Trionic system and things get worse. Add 2 quarts of toluene to a tank to increae one octane number. The 'points' on the on the shelf octane boosters are 10ths of an octane number.
