AC fan sporadic intermittent work

30,000 mi out of warranty based on years '00 9-5SE wagon

Problem: sometimes fan stops working - AC panel shows all the controls, no error messages, turning to manual fan control does not help, lcd shows everything as if its working but no air coming out of vents.

than it starts working propely again. It seems it stops working after sitting a few hours in the hit. Example: driving to work in the morning blower works, driving home from work it doesn't.

I don't mind bringing it to a dealer, but my concern is - if I get there and the blowers happens to be working fine, how are they going to repair it?

Any advise here will be appreciated, summer is looming lol...
