The Service Theft Alarm lasted for nearly a year before it started going off on its own. Module replacement fixed the problem. Batteries were ok so culprit was more than likely corrosion. I inspected it and looked pretty good but there was evidence of moisture having been there. I am an ET by trade and could not see wasting time on this. My theory is that most corrosion problems that occur with Saabs are caused by the salt in the air that gets in when they are on the ship over and sitting at the dock. Parts that have been replaced such as the alarm module and heater/ AC blower motor seem to last much longer after the second install.
