I replaced the OEM with the continental on my wagon. So far they have been fine. I've just been commuting on them so they haven't seen a road trip or hard driving. It rains really hard down here, and they haven't had a problem in the water yet. The old OEMs were getting bad as the tread wore down.
I agree with everyone else about running 4 of the same tires. You just have to decide whether you really want to pay for 4 new, different tires, or just get one or two replacements. I guess you could try to sell the old OEM tires on the classifieds to see if anyone needs them for a full sized spare or anything. After a couple of flats and with the road trips I used to take the wagon on I bought a refurbished wheel and another tire to have a full sized spare.
I certainly wouldn't go plus zero for just two tires. That's worse than replacing them with two different tires.
