I have a 2001 Linear (called "base" here) wagon with the 185/AT. It's no Aero but there is plenty of power; a bit slow until you're halfway across the intersection but good for passing up to about 160 km/hr. The 2004 should be better with the 5spd auto (I have 4sp).
If you live in a very hot area or often carry 4 people I would consider upgrading to the Arc (220 hp); I find if the car is loaded up and it's hot out then it leaves a little to be desired accelerating away from a stop. I also tow a 1200lb sailboat/trailer with no difficulty other than frequent shifting in and out of 4th at highway speed until I find the right combination of speed/sport mode/etc.
I've driven it 10,000 km; failures have been battery (original one lasted 3 years) and SID, both warranty.
