I thought the same thing! I never admitted going over the speed limit, but he REASONED I must have gone over because he had to speed to catch me (small town hick cop, mind you). However, even if I had only been going 65 (the limit) he still would have had to speed to catch me because I accelerated so much faster than he did, and he was several cars back in a pack.
I figure he posed a much greater risk to people than I did since he told me he went so fast for so long!
So my question is can I argue this one? Or can he slam me with spinning my tires (just a little, these are strong cars) and tinted windows if I argue it? Does that mean going to court to do this? This is my first ticket, so I don't know the rules. Thanks for any input!
