Wouhttp://www! This is new for me but seems to me right.
On my 99 9-5 I had same problem. The trhottle body position sensor is 1.5kOhms. The SAAB software engineer got spec deviation over time no more than several % over the time of use. I do not have that in may head but in the Shop Service Manual it given. Now when the resistor starts aging, the ristance varyes and the ECU indicates fault throtlle body position sensor.
This is prure software probelem because the trottle body sensors are two and are corrected in bridge. This compensation is full for each of the sensors in the bridge. Instead of writing small piece of code, they just pronounce the body deffect. And this is the reason for so many TB changed on early 9-5.
I have not heared that there is a software fix for that. I presumed that SAAB simply did not adress that at all. Go and reporgram your ECU and you will be fine.
